Robert Keith Page (Sweet and Innocent Bob), 73, of Kamiah passed away peacefully Dec. 20, 2018 at his Kamiah home.
Bob was born Feb. 7, 1945 in Vancouver, Wash. to Robert E. “Bill” and Ruby Belle Rice Page. Bob’s father died when he was 11 months old. It wasn’t long after his mother moved them to California. He grew up in Venice, Calif.
Bob was married to Jan Beemer. They adopted their son Jeffery Rudarmel Page. Bob and Jan were married for 28 years until her death.
On May 24, 1997 he married Patricia Mahlmeister. Bob worked for Ojai Rubbish and John Deere before landing a career at Northridge Equipment Rentals. He worked as an 18-wheel truck driver until retiring in 2005. After retiring he moved his family to Kamiah. It was the best thing they ever did. Bob loved Kamiah and the friends he met.
His passion was guns, hunting and anything related to guns or shooting.
He is survived by his wife Patricia “Patty” Mahlmeister Page and their son Jeffery Page of Kamiah; his sisters Shannon Preister of Greenwood Township, Mich. and Shelley (Mondo) Fernandez of Buena Park, Calif.; his aunt Pearl (Robert) Rosch of Bakersfield, Calif., and aunt Rosa (Eldon) Moore of California, and many many cousins and friends from California and Idaho.
Thank you to all the Kamiah EMTs who took such good care of Bob transporting him to St. Mary’s and then taking him on his final trip home on Dec. 18. Thank you to St. Mary’s Hospital and staff. Most of all thank you Dr. Secrest, who saved his life more than once.
Bob’s request was to be cremated and no formal service. Next time you’re at the range think of him and all the good memories.
