Marsha Paulsen Godwin, 68, passed away at her home in Kamiah on Nov. 22, 2018. Marsha was born in Idaho Falls, Idaho on March 18, 1950 to Herb and Iona Paulsen of Arco, Idaho. She attended school in Arco and went to ISU where she earned a Secretarial Degree.
She married Daryl “Butch” Godwin on Jan. 2, 1971 in her family church in Arco. They moved to Kamiah in the spring of 1972. Marsha and Butch shared a child, Ryan Godwin.
She worked at Cloninger’s Market. Most recently (for many years) she was the secretary for Dabco Logging. She retired at the end of last year.
She enjoyed bowling, riding her horses and being a part of the Gold Trail Wranglers. She was very dedicated to creating beautiful quilts for family and friends. She was a part of North Idaho Quilters that traveled all over to share and work on various projects and spoke of all the cool places and people she got to share that experience with.
She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was loved by many.
She leaves behind her son, Ryan Godwin; daughter-in-law, Jamie Godwin; grandson, Kevin Godwin; granddaughter, Emma Godwin; twin brother Mark (Sherry) Paulsen; and older brother, Ray (Linda) Paulsen. She also had four “adoptees” who called her Grandma Marsha (Hali, Ryle, KC, and Libby). She had many wonderful nieces and nephews, sister and brothers-in-law she loved dearly. She was blessed to be loved by her numerous friends and family. She left us too soon, but will never be forgotten.
Her services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 1, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Highway 12, Kamiah. A dinner will follow at the Church.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Bishop Rick Brazell and Trenary Funeral Home of Kooskia.
