Michael Lennar Jensen was born Sept. 19, 1952 to James and Rosella Hawkins Jensen in Emmett, Idaho, the third of four children. Mike lost his battle with alcohol and liver disease on Oct. 29, 2018 at his home in Winona. He was 66 years old.
Mike grew up on the Madeline Plains in Modoc County, California. He was involved in all aspects of ranching, hunting, and fishing since he was a teenager; it was his life. Mike served in the California Army National Guard while working for various ranchers in Modoc County. He married Kelly Klutti, adopted her son, David, before their son, Michael was born. They later divorced. In 1992, he married Kathy Clemens, and together they made a ranching life together. They moved back to Idaho to the Winona area in 1996.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Kathy, at home in Winona; his son David, grandsons Vance and Colin in Florida; his son Mike, wife Krysta and grandchildren, Jada and Gavin in Nezperce; and stepdaughter Kayla Rodgers, her husband Branden, and grandsons, Anthony and Cadin in Redding, Calif. He is also survived by his brother, Jim Jensen, sister Sharon Olson, both in Klamath Falls, and sister Kitty Burkeholder in California.
