Marie Yvonne Riddle went home to be with Jesus on February 26, 2018 at her home in Kamiah. She was 76.
Yvonne was born in Kamiah on June 1, 1940 to Harold LeRoy Paul and Viola Vietrus Wisdom. She graduated from Kamiah High School in 1958 where she participated in school sports. She also attended Bible college.
Yvonne was a lifelong member of the Pentecostal Church of God in Kamiah. She was born a teacher, having taught Sunday children’s church school Christian Pathlighters, and girls’ Bible studies in her home. She also taught preschool.
Yvonne took care of her siblings. She also lived in California for 17 months.
She always had a smile on her face and was singing. She could write, tell stories, draw, paint, embroider, crochet, read out loud, and share about God.
She was preceded in death by her dad Harold Paul, mom Viola Paul, and brother Wayne Paul.
She is survived by brother Larry (Crystal) Paul, sisters LaDonna (Al) Hendren and Cathy (Kem) Warnock, her husband of 50 years, Leroy Riddle, daughters Tracy (Don) Creapau and Bekki (Buck) Davis, five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and many who called her Mom and Grandma.
A memorial service will be at March 18 at 2:30 p.m. at The Life Center on Highway 12 outside Kamiah across from Valley View. A potluck will follow.
