Carolyn Ruth Krieger, 79, died Saturday, Jan. 20, 2018 after battling cancer for several years. She had been staying with her eldest daughter in Indiana.
Born Carolyn Ruth Hamm in WaKeeney, Kan. on Nov. 24, 1938, she was the eldest child of George and Violet Hamm.
She is survived by siblings Delores, August “Sam”, George Allen, Nancy, James, John, Regina, and Cathy; children Linda, Margaret, Lisa, and Carolyn Donique; grandchildren Candice, Gilbert, Breanna, Nathan, Charlette, and Autumn Rose; great-grandchildren Dixie and Gilbert W. III; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brother Henry, her parents George and Violet, and her husband of nearly 52 years, Donald Krieger.
Carolyn and Don lived in several places including Scotland for a time but “home” was their beloved ranch outside Baker, Mont.
In later years home became Kooskia where she will be buried next to her husband.
Carolyn enjoyed many things including her love of knitting, crocheting, gardening, and canning.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 3 at Trenary Funeral Chapel in Kooskia.
