With Kamiah Mayor Dale Schneider opting not to run for office this year, Henry Bailey, Betty Heater, and Sonny Hirakawa have tossed their hats into the ring for the four-year position.
Dan Millward and Glen Hibbs have filed for their respective city council seats.
The filing period for city offices closed Friday, Sept. 8.
Kooskia: There are two open council spots. Incumbent Dannette Payton and Doreen Ash have filed for election.
Stites: Incumbent Mayor Gerald Cathey has field for re-election along with Rey Mireles. The city also has two council seats open. Incumbent Bonnie Shannon along with Neil Bronson and Ralph Jackson have filed for election.
Craigmont: Incumbents Kevin Brown and David Osburn filed for re-election to the council.
Nezperce: Incumbent Mike Jensen and William Burton and Michelle Lyons have filed for election to two council seats.
Reubens: Incumbent Mayor Luke Lowes has filed for re-election. Incumbents Scott Crow and Andrew Beck, along with newcomer Rachel Carpenter, have filed for two city seats.
Winchester: Incumbents Les London, Rosemary McLeod and Miriam Youngren, along with newcomer Patricia Fjerstat, have filed for three open council chairs.
The deadline for write-in candidates is Oct. 10. October 13 is the last day to pre-register to vote.
