The Idaho State Police believe alcohol was a factor in a single-vehicle car crash at Woodland Tuesday evening that killed a Kamiah woman.
On Sept. 12 at approximately 6:48 p.m., a gray Chevrolet pickup driven by Cord Wilson, 26, of Paul, Idaho was traveling northbound on Woodland Road approximately eight miles from Highway 12 when he lost control of the vehicle and went off the roadway. His passengers included Tracy Schiedler, 42, of Kamiah, Alicia Crume, 40, of Kamiah, and an unidentified fourth passenger.
The vehicle traveled down an embankment approximately 150 feet. Wilson was transported by air ambulance to St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Lewiston.
Schielder succumbed to injuries from the crash and died at the scene. The unidentified passenger was transported by ambulance to Clearwater Valley Hospital in Orofino. Crume refused medical transport. None of the occupants were wearing seat belts.
