The Board of Directors will be hosting a public meeting at the IOOF building in Kooskia Thursday, Aug. 24 at 6:30 p.m. The purpose of the meeting is to bring shareholders and interested parties up to date on our efforts to buy the Old Opera House.
The Board has personally visited with hundreds of people and businesses, run multiple radio ads and newspaper ads and held many special events to raise the funds needed to buy the Old Opera House. As of today, we do not have what we need to purchase the Old Opera house building and time is running out. If we don’t raise the balance by Sept. 1, or take out a loan, we will be forced to step aside and let the Graves sell the building to the next buyer.
It has come to a point where the Board must make some critical decisions, and it is important to get feedback from all who have invested, as well as those who have thought about it but haven’t yet. So please come to the meeting on the 24th where you can learn more and have a voice in the Board’s decision. This is your last chance to decide the future of the Old Opera House. We have plenty of ideas; we need action and money now, so plan to come prepared to support this effort! We cannot do it without you!
