Aunt Fanny, a retired restaurant manager and cook in the Kamiah valley, died June 22, 2017 at her home in Colville, Wash. She was 92 years old.
She married Maurice Knight in her hometown of Colville, Oct. 11, 1946. They lived in Juliaetta before settling in Kamiah in 1949. He worked for various local mills while she worked as a cook and restaurant manager in Syringa and Kamiah. She is best remembered as the manager of Harold’s Café in Kamiah. Later, she worked as a cook at Kamiah schools. She made hundreds of glorious wedding and anniversary cakes for many valley events.
Maurice and Fanny had one daughter, Geneva, since deceased.
She is survived by her three beloved grandchildren. Later in life, after Maurice passed away, she married George Gustavson in Kamiah.
