It’s been a rough winter for the City of Kamiah with above average snowfall. Due to the increased amounts of snow the City has been estimating water meters since December. The City will be reading water meters this March.
According to City officials, residents can expect to see the following. Those who were over-estimated on water consumption will be receiving a credit on their bill and those who were under-estimated could be seeing higher water bills next month.
The most common reason for high water consumption are increased amount of family or friends staying for the holidays, toilets running, faucets dripping to keep pipes from freezing through the winter and underground broken pipes.
If you have any questions regarding your utility bill or consumption amount, contact Kamiah City Hall at 935-2672 Monday–Friday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
